Project Optimism, Inc.
Sactown Nachos Festival is proud to aid in becoming a public servant with one of Sacramento’s own non profit organization, Project Optimism Inc. Information on this company is below!
Project Optimism Inc. is a newly established (501c3) non profit organization founded by Armoni Easley and Ishmael Pruitt. They think of the community as a giant project. Working on this project is a diverse group of community members who all bring a unique skill set to the project to achieve desired results. Their plan is to develop programs and services with the help of the community to meet community needs.
The founders have created an evidence based program called "Sankofa Project" which aligns college students and recent graduates with at risk youth, as mentors. They will use evidence based practices to develop them into young adults, committed to learning and ready to contribute to the world.
They're second pilot project is "P.I. Events for a Cause." P.I. (Positive Images) is a volunteer based group that has a passion for community engagement. This group will put on a variety of fun filled events to raise money for a need in the community (nonprofit, schools, cancer fighter, homeless, college scholarship, & so much more)."Events for a cause" will coordinate large scale events from festivals, concerts, guest speakers to small mixers to bring awareness and give back financially to the community.
Your donation will assist Project Optimism in the purchasing of items to successfully run these programs (Program equipment & supplies, Promotions, Website, Field Trip, Venue expenses for community events, Scholarship fund, and Community center.)
Mission: To be the catalyst that properly equips community members with an optimistic mindset to be productive contributors to society.
Motto: Where opportunity meets change.
